Things feel heavy.  Dark.  I am weary of the world and the people in it.  A keen time for advent, I guess.

I started Watch for the Light today and this part of a poem by Aquinas felt particularly apropos tonight:

Light of lights! All gloom dispelling,
Thou didst come to make thy dwelling
Here within our world of sight,
Lord, in pity and in power,
Thou didst in our darkest hour
Rend the clouds and show the light.
